(1) Firstly, check if the hardness of the adhesive is moderate. If it is too soft, the product will have poor weather resistance. After a period of time, the bonding strength will decrease, leading to the edge falling off. If the adhesive is too hard and there are too many fillers and poor wettability, it will affect the operation of the adhesive and edge banding machine, which can be determined by teeth or nails.

(2) The bonding strength of the adhesive can be determined by peeling off the edge banding strip of the board with good edge banding and observing the effect of sawdust. A tensile tester can also be used to test the peeling force, and a good edge sealing adhesive usually has a peeling force of over 8 kilograms.

(3) Check the temperature resistance of the adhesive and conduct an instrument test for high temperature resistance of 65 ° C and low temperature resistance of 15 ° C for 2 hours without opening the adhesive.

(4) Based on the EVA and resin content of the adhesive, if the EVA and resin content is high, we can use a lighter to burn the edge sealing adhesive until it is melted and pull out the adhesive wire. If the edge sealing adhesive cannot pull out the wire after being melted, it is usually due to excessive filling or low raw material quality.
